Three Days in Hell

Three Days in Hell

Three days in Hell, writen by George Bernage and published by Heimdal (France), which sheds new light on the chaotic events of the first days of the allied invasion in 1944. It suffers from some unfortunate design choices which make the reading process tiresome. It has two columns of text on each page and it […]

III Panzer Korps at Kursk

III Panzer Korps at Kursk

A new cover made for the obscure III Panzer Korps at Kursk by Didier Lodieu. An excellent account on the south salient events, where II SS Panzer Korps holds all the spotlights in literature. Here Didier sheds light on the overburdened goals set for the weak III PK to defend the right flank of the […]

Capture of Ipolysag 14 DEC. 44

We made a graphical representation of events regarding the capture of Ipolysag by the Red Army during the battles of late 1944 north of Budapest in Slovakia. These battles are portrayed in the new Douglas Nash Book, “The Defeat of the Damned: The Destruction of the Dirlewanger Brigade at the Battle of Ipolysag, December 1944”.

The campaign took place in Estonia and consisted of two major phases: the Battle for Narva Bridgehead (February to July 1944) and the […]

Roger Hurkman’s Diorama reimagined

Roger Hurkman’s Diorama reimagined

We’ve took one of the most famous diorama’s “Unternehmen Südwind, Hungary 1945” from acclaimed Dutch military modeler Roger Hurkmans and reimagined the scene. An RSO tractor struggling to pull over an artillery piece. We constructed a new landscape, inspired in hungary’s landscape, winter and architecture. We used over 15 images to compose this image.

Battle for White Russia

Battle for White Russia

We take aim at another cover. This time for another exquisite book published in 1989 by Gerd Niepold, “Battle for White Russia: The Destruction of Army Group Centre, June 1944“, which is one of the few detailed books covering (mainly the german side) the Bagration operation that smashed through Army Group Center in the summer of […]
