When a complex piece of information needs to be described quickly, precisely and clearly, a graphic is suitable. Infographics are used for signs, maps and data presentations. Infographics are visual representations of information, data or knowledge. It is an important tool in teaching, in business, in giving inspiration and in presenting information. It is one of the most powerful ways to communicate with complex data.

We made a graphical representation of events regarding the capture of Ipolysag by the Red Army during the battles of late 1944 north of Budapest in Slovakia. These battles are portrayed in the new Douglas Nash Book, “The Defeat of the Damned: The Destruction of the Dirlewanger Brigade at the Battle of Ipolysag, December 1944”.
